We make gear for people
who move
Haven started as a kit list for life on the road. We kept asking the same question: why is it so hard to find gear that's built to last, designed to be fixed, and doesn't try to do too much?
A kit list turned into a company
In 2019, our founder Mara spent eight months living out of a van, travelling Europe with a bike strapped to the back and a kit list she'd spent three years refining. She kept replacing gear — not because it broke, but because of a single rubber gasket, a snapped strap, a worn-out seal.
The products existed. The repairability didn't. So Haven started as a small workshop making flasks with replaceable seals and bags with replaceable buckles. Word spread fast — people who move wanted gear that could move with them for the long haul.
Today we make a small range of carefully designed products, each with a full spare parts catalogue and repair guides. Nothing is designed to be thrown away.
Made minimal. Built to last.
We don't make a lot of products. Each one has to earn its place in a bag. We ask: is it light enough? Is it repairable? Will it still work in five years with normal care?
Our products are designed around the idea that the most sustainable thing you can do is not buy a replacement. Every Haven product has spare parts available — not as an afterthought, but as core part of the design.
